NOTITIES
1. Puff pastry: You can also replace the puff pastry used on top with mashed potatoes.2. Leftover casserole: This recipe for processing leftover vegetables is good. Peppers, broccoli, cabbage, you can use all kinds of (leftover) vegetables in this filling.3. Tomato paste: To deepen the flavor. But make sure you use it properly. To give it its delicious, rich, and slightly sweet taste, you need to fry it for at least 2 minutes.4. Grated cheese: Use grated cheese, like Gouda or, even better, Cheddar cheese. They both melt well and give a delicious, cheesy taste.5. Storage:
Refrigerator: The Shepherd's Pie will stay in the fridge for two days. You can also freeze leftovers.
Freezer: Wrap the oven dish with the Cottage Pie with Ground beef in two layers of foil. The pie will keep well in the freezer for two months. Let the beef pie thaw in the refrigerator.
Reheating: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and heat at 320 °F (160 °C) for at least thirty minutes. Check whether it is properly warm; if not, heat it for ten minutes.
